A Dutch startup
SeeDeep has introduced a novel solution to enhance the underwater diving experience – underwater 'reading glasses' designed to aid users in focusing on their dive.
SeeDeep Diving Optics is currently running an Indiegogo campaign to introduce their innovative SeeDeep glasses, catering to individuals with vision impairments and enabling them to fully appreciate the mesmerizing underwater world.
In contrast to traditional options like prescription dive masks with bifocal lenses or the use of stick-on magnifying lenses, these groundbreaking glasses can be easily affixed to a diver's gear using a practical rubber head strap. Despite their remarkable functionality in the ocean's depths, these glasses maintain the appearance of ordinary eyewear found in stores.
Equipped with scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, these glasses come in a range of magnification strengths, encompassing +1, +1.25 +1.5, +1.75 +2.0, +2.5 and +3.0. Divers can conveniently slide them down their masks when not in use, ensuring they remain out of sight and easily accessible when needed.
This feature proves invaluable for active divers seeking enhanced vision during their underwater explorations over varying distances. The adjustable nature of these glasses on the mask ensures they are always within arm's reach without obstructing the diver's field of vision.
The SeeDeep glasses are available in three distinct variants: Standard, Premium, and Exclusive. Each version employs a different type of metal in its construction, offering options such as aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium, respectively.
Indiegogo pledges for these remarkable glasses begin at US$75 and extend up to US$151, allowing divers to choose the version that best aligns with their preferences and budget. With SeeDeep glasses, divers can look forward to a more immersive and visually enhanced diving experience, all while maintaining the stylish appearance of standard eyewear.
